Employee will work a rotating schedule as needed to provide direct support and supervision of Direct Support Professionals. As this is a residential setting, employees are assigned shifts. Employee must be able to flex hours and must be able to work mandatory overtime as needed.Required Education And ExperienceHigh School DiplomaTwo years' experience working in the Mental Health and Developmental Disability field. Preferred Education And ExperiencePreferred 2 years prior supervisor experience Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Human ServicesEssential FunctionsEnsures the safety, welfare, and the preservation of rights of clients. Interactions with clients, staff, and visitors should always be with respect and dignity. Monitors and provides direct supervision of Direct Support Professionals to ensure programmatic and administrative activities are carried out. Ensures the home/unit has adequate supplies as needed to carry out treatment plans.Assists with training and mentoring residential staff.Reviews and monitors to ensure all documentation for assigned unit(s) is completed. If necessary, takes immediate action of noted concerns.Oversees Direct Support Professionals in the completion of incident reports, restraint forms, and staff injury reports within his/her assigned unit. Reviews these forms for accuracy, legibility, and to ensure they are completed in a timely manner. Conducts preliminary investigations into client and staff incidents and injuries.Completes work schedules for Direct Support Professionals assigned to his/her unit. Reviews schedules in advance to provide accurate daily coverage sheets for assigned unit.Maintains an up to date record of staff conduct and attendance.Helps to maintain a safe, respectful and inclusive working environment for staff and residents. Must be well organized with excellent verbal and written communication.Must be proficient in Outlook, Word, excel, with basic computer skills.
