We are actively looking to hire an entry level Civil Engineer to be part of our team in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In this position you will assist our team with the preparation of design documents for local, state, and federal government agencies and private sector Clients in the commercial, mixed-use, institutional, industrial, multi-family residential, large-scale single family residential and hospitality market segments. The candidate will work in a fast-paced engineering environment where projects may range from large scale, multi-year, governmental projects to short duration residential and commercial projects. Specific duties include: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Develop plans that may include cover sheets; general notes; typical sections; cross-sections; plan and profile sheets; grading and drainage sheets; erosion control and traffic control sheets; utility and ROW sheets, landscape sheets, and relevant detail sheets Generate construction take-offs, construction cost estimates, technical specifications and bid books Work with multi-disciplined land development team, including land planners, project managers, engineers, landscape architects, surveyors, and designers to coordinate design development effort Strong Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation Experience with basic production software tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong work ethic Ability to work independently and as an integral part of a project team Good oral and written communication skills Good people skills Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis If you have what it takes to join our growing organization and want to be part of a dedicated team, please submit your resume to info@asaengineeringinc.com.
