Integrated Healthcare Services is seeking a travel nurse RN Pediatrics for a travel nursing job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Pediatrics Discipline: RN Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Required: RNs must have one year of inpatient experience minimum in the related department with the trauma level shown below Required: One year of travel experience is preferred but will consider six months’ travel Required: All Candidates are expected to Float as needed Schedule Notes Weekends and holidays required. Float Pool position including floating to medical, surgical, medical specialty, hem/onc, and step-down. Can also float to NICU for feeder growers. Job Summary Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital setting to pediatric patients with health conditions ranging from simple to complex. Essential Responsibilities Manage an assigned group of patients, ensuring quality care delivery. Document patient responses to interventions and treatments; update changes in physician orders. Assist physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures. Monitor and obtain physiological data, intervening as necessary. Administer prescribed medications, including initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products. Engage with patients and families to share care plans and provide discharge instructions. Inform patients and families about hospital procedures. Refer patient care needs to appropriate personnel and delegate tasks to support staff. General Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications 1 year of nursing experience. Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a multistate compact RN License (eNLC). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a board-approved program. Skills Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and procedures. Ability to organize, plan, and evaluate nursing services. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors. Basic computer skills.
