Cloud Engineer
Overview
You design, build, and run DRW’s multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructure to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing cloud services. You collaborate with engineering, security, networking, and ops teams to enable safe use of public cloud and hybrid architectures. The role emphasizes stability, cost awareness, and continuous improvement to scale DRW’s technology footprint. This is a high-impact position in a fast-paced, technology-driven trading environment.

ResponsibilitiesManage and evolve cloud platforms across AWS, Azure, GCP, AliCloud, and Snowflake, including on-prem dependenciesDesign and maintain cloud foundations: organization, identity, policy guardrails, logging, tagging, shared servicesServe as escalation point for complex production and cloud/hybrid issues, perform root cause analysis and durable fixesBuild and maintain automation, standards, reference architectures, and documentationEngineer resilient cloud connectivity between cloud providers and on-premisesImplement observability across cloud services: metrics, logs, traces, alerts, capacity dashboardsAdvise application and infrastructure teams on cloud, hybrid, and on-premitecture choices for reliability, performance, security, and costPartner with Finance for cloud cost visibility, forecasting, and FinOps goalsResearch, evaluate, and implement new cloud services to improve reliability, developer experience, security, or efficiency
Key requirements5+ years in production cloud environments in multi-cloud/hybrid settings with strong AWS experienceExposure to Azure, GCP, AliCloud, and Snowflake; integration with on‑premises infrastructureInfrastructure as code and automation skills (Terraform, Python, APIs/SDKs, CI/CD, Git)Strong cloud networking knowledge (VPCs, routing, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, private connectivity)Cloud security fundamentals (IAM, encryption, key management, secrets management, least-privilege)Observability, monitoring, and alerting; ability to troubleshoot production problems under pressureUnderstanding of cloud cost models, FinOps, cost allocation, and capacity planningExcellent communication and documentation skills; quick learner and cross‑functional collaboratorOwnership mindset with track record of secure, scalable, reliable cloud solutionsWillingness to participate in 24/7 on-call rotation; trading/financial services experience is a pluseffective communicationinitiativeadaptabilityAWSAzureGCP
