Job DescriptionTI Builders, a leading national construction company, is actively seeking a talented individual to join our expanding team in Tampa, FL. The Area Manager position requires expertise in estimating, project management, field supervision and the ability to represent TI Builders at marketing events while overseeing field projects. As the branch grows, the area manager (with the help of HR) will hire the first Superintendent, the first Project Manager, and after that, craft labor. The position also requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in commercial construction management and a comprehensive grasp of overseeing daily operations on construction sites. The perfect candidate would be well versed in commercial construction, poised to lead our new branch, drive success, and foster growth. Let’s talk.Duties And ResponsibilitiesProject ManagementCreate and keep current submittal logsKeep action items/critical task list current weeklyJob startup, fill out PM workbookWork with super on buyoutReview and approve all subcontractor selection for all projects (sub-contractors’ final selections)Provide subcontractor final scope and price to PAWork with Superintendent on RFIRec approval from Project Executive on overbudget bidsSubmit the monthly billings to accounting on or before the 25th of each monthClose out documentsResponsible for all of the orderingSuperintendentDaily supervisionSafety/OSHA complianceJobsite housekeeping3 weeks schedule out every FridayWork with PM on updating master schedule monthlyKeep the PM and PA in the loop on all subcontractor estimates your working onProvide all important documents to PM to file in DropboxInform PM team of any “deals” made with subs or suppliersWork with PM on all plans/spec changes and updatesWork with PM weekly to keep current set of as built on siteSubmit proposed sub-contractors’ selections to PM for review and approvalProvide written information to PM on changes (don’t hesitate to work with PA’s)Provide work done this week and work done next week per projectProvide at least three photos per project NLT Wednesday weeklyWork with PM on generating RFIProvide and updated % complete on the schedule of values through the end of the month to PM NLT 20th each monthEstimatingAssist project managers with project documentation, take-offs and materials quotesCall subcontractors to check if they're bidding or if they have any questionsHold job walksOrder temporary facilities (e.g. storage containers, dumpsters, mobile restrooms, equipment)Transcribe and distribute budgets, RFIs, submittals, subcontracts, and change ordersAssemble project close-out documentsBusiness DevelopmentAttend events and represent TI BuildersAttend meetings with potential customersInterface with the headquarter marketing team for supportCompany DescriptionAs national leaders in the Design/Build commercial field for over 30 years, have set the standard in all sectors of commercial construction.
