This role serves as the central authority for global compliance, ensuring products meet international safety standards and achieve certification for worldwide market access.If you are interested in applying for this job, please make sure you meet the following requirements as listed below.This position is critical in enabling high-power products, including data center infrastructure and EV-related systems, to successfully navigate complex regulatory environments.The MandateOwn global safety compliance and certification strategy across product linesAct as the primary interface with international safety agenciesEnsure product designs meet evolving global standards and regulatory requirementsDrive efficient, on-time certification to support global product launchesKey ResponsibilitiesConduct safety reviews of high-voltage and high-power product designs to ensure compliance with IEC, UL, and related standardsLead end-to-end certification efforts, including application, testing, and approval processesServe as the primary technical liaison with agencies such as UL and TÜVMonitor changes in global safety standards and drive internal adoption across engineering teamsEvaluate designs for electrical safety, insulation coordination, temperature rise, and fire protection requirementsReview structural drawings using CAD tools to assess safety spacing and complianceManage multiple certification programs across regions, ensuring alignment with varying regulatory requirementsIdeal ProfileBackground as a Compliance Engineer, Certification Engineer, or Quality Assurance Engineer within power supply, electronics, or connector industriesProven experience managing global safety certifications end-to-end across multiple product linesHands-on experience working with international agencies such as UL and TÜV, including successful product certificationsStrong understanding of high-power product safety requirements, including electrical safety, insulation, thermal performance, and fire protectionExperience with products such as server power supplies, EV charging systems, or similar high-power applicationsFamiliarity with global certification standards (UL/cUL, TÜV, CE, PSE) and regional differencesExperience working in a testing lab or deep familiarity with compliance testing methodologiesProficiency in CAD tools for design review and safety evaluationBachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related fieldLocation & Work ModelLocation flexible depending on business needsOn-site or hybrid model aligned with lab access and cross-functional collaborationGlobal and Domestic Travel RequiredCompensation$80,000 to $110,000 base salary + BonusCompensation is benchmarked internally and flexible based on experience and qualificationsBase Compensation Range$80,000—$110,000 USDEqual Opportunity & Non-Discrimination StatementSignal and Strand is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
