Lead Foreman

USCS LLC is hiring a Lead Grounds Maintenance Foreman for a federal government contract at Columbus Air Force Base, Columbus, MS starting October 1, 2026. What you'll do: Supervise and lead a crew of 6–8 grounds maintenance workers daily Manage mowing, trimming, brush hogging, and grounds upkeep across 700+ acres of a military installation Serve as the primary on-site contact with the government Contracting Officer Representative (COR) Assign daily tasks, monitor quality, and ensure work meets federal contract standards Conduct daily crew briefings and end-of-day reports Submit daily work logs and photo documentation Ensure all crew members follow base safety and access procedures Report directly to company owner Requirements: Minimum 3 years grounds maintenance experience — required Minimum 1 year supervisory or crew lead experience — required Valid Mississippi driver's license with clean record Clean background (federal base access required — no felony convictions) US citizen or authorized to work in the US Strong communication skills — you will interact with military personnel daily Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions Reliable transportation to Columbus AFB daily Experience operating commercial mowers and grounds equipment preferred Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week peak season April through October primary season Year-round position — some off-season hours available Monday through Friday, start time approximately 7:00 AM Position is contingent on contract award — anticipated start date October 1, 2026.
