Position ResponsibilitiesPerforms nursing activities in the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of the patient's surgical experienceProvides nursing care to the patient in the operating room during orthopedic surgical and pain management procedures, assisting the surgical team as neededAddresses patient needs during admission to the operating room, provides comfort and reassurance to the patientExplains intraoperative phase routine procedures and care to the patientMonitors the patient during surgery, and coordinates care throughout the process with other perioperative care personnelResponsible for providing a safe environment for patient care in the operating room/procedure areaMaintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulationsRequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent is requiredCurrent unrestricted Illinois RN licensure is required2+ years OR experience preferredOrthopedic experience preferredExcellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skillsAbility to effectively communicate and interact with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgroundsMust be flexible with hours ORA Orthopedics is the Quad Cities' largest and most comprehensive orthopedic provider, proudly offering an integrated continuum of orthopedic care that includes orthopedic sub-specialty clinics, walk-in care at our Urgent OrthoCARE clinics, diagnostic imaging, bracing, physical therapy, pharmacy, and outpatient surgery.
