The Learning Lab Facilitator will develop and implement multiple online, individualized academic pathways; all geared at providing targeted instruction for each student.Minimum Qualification StandardsKnowledge of grade 8-12 Curriculum Frameworks is required.Experience in assisting learners in a web-based education environment required.Ability to effectively collaborate with all stakeholders.Possess excellent planning, organization, record keeping, communications (oral and written) and human relations.Knowledge of district resources is strongly preferred.Possess commitment to creating an equitable, culturally responsive, classroom environment.Ability to engage and communicate effectively with parents and families.Proactive problem solver who demonstrates initiative.Self-motivated and flexible; must show demonstrated ability to set priorities and work with limited supervision and be able to meet deadlines competently.Strong work ethic coupled with an enthusiastic and passionate approach to one's work.Other duties as assigned by the Parenting Teens Program DirectorEducation, Training, and ExperienceBachelor's Degree required.Massachusetts Teacher Certification preferred.Experience in assisting learners in a web-based education environment required.Teaching experience in Alternative or Adult Education setting preferred.Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage online learning platforms that include but are not limited to: APEX, Edgenuity, My Path, and Purpose Prep. Ensure consistent implementation protocols for the creation and monitoring of classes and student/teacher accounts.Oversee the execution of our Blended Learning/Intervention program (monitoring if students and teachers are using program consistently).Provide support to students to facilitate their completion of learning programs, including written work and monitoring of computer-based assessments.Collaborate and support teachers to implement learning programs within their classrooms, utilize common assessment and other open material, and assist with students needing additional support outside of the classroom.Participate in meetings with various stakeholders as needed.Provide consistent reporting to guidance counselors, and other school staff and stakeholders, regarding the progress of students completing courses.Communicate with parents, guardians, families and other agencies on student progress.Ensure that school technology is being handled properly and inventoried.Oversee implementation of distance learning for students with extenuating circumstances and HiSET courseware for students in HiSET program.Work with ESL and content teachers on implementing SEI strategies.Represent the online learning component in WCST meetings. Oversee implementation of interventions.Implement culturally responsive practices that ensure equitable learning opportunities for all students.Terms of EmploymentNon-Union, 12 Months PositionSalary: $60,000.00- $64,000.00Certificate and License Requirements: Bachelor's Degree Required. Massachusetts Teacher's Certification preferred.Physical Demands: Frequent fine motor use such as typing, filing.
