This role focuses on the real estate components of complex deals, including multi-site retail and franchise portfolios. The attorney will work closely with corporate teams on active transactions involving acquisitions, leasing, and development projects across multiple locations.This is an opportunity to step into immediate deal flow and contribute to high-level national transactions within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.Key Responsibilities Provide real estate support for corporate and M&A transactionsDraft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate documents, including leases and purchase agreementsAnalyze title commitments and surveys; identify issues and assist in resolutionManage multi-location real estate transactions across retail and franchise portfoliosSupport sale-leaseback and 1031 exchange transactionsCoordinate with internal legal teams to ensure efficient deal executionAssist in acquisitions, development, leasing, and disposition of commercial propertiesRequired Qualifications 4-8+ years of commercial real estate legal experienceStrong background in handling complex real estate transactions within a law firm or similar environmentStrong background in handling multi-site real estate transactions (retail or franchise portfolios) (Strongly preferred)Experience reviewing title and survey documents and managing closing processesLicensed in Minnesota or eligible for admissionPreferred Qualifications Familiarity with 1031 exchanges and sale-leaseback structuresExposure to development or land use mattersExperience with environmental reviews or real estate financingKey Skills Required Commercial real estate transaction managementContract negotiation and draftingTitle and survey analysisCross-functional collaborationProblem-solving and analytical thinkingWork Environment Fully onsite role in the Minneapolis areaHighly collaborative, team-driven cultureDirect interaction with partners and deal teamsFast-paced environment with immediate responsibility on active transactionsGrowth & Opportunity Clear pathway toward shareholder or partner-level advancementExposure to high-profile, multi-state transactionsOpportunities to build and expand a client portfolioStrong emphasis on mentorship and professional developmentWhy This Location?Minneapolis offers a strong balance of professional opportunity and quality of life.
