Electrical Engineer
This position is designed for new graduates or engineers with 0–2 years of experience who want to begin a career in product safety testing and certification.Typical RequirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering0+ years of related experience (new graduates encouraged to apply)Strong communication and technical writing skillsBasic understanding of electrical circuits and schematicsComfortable working in both a laboratory and office environmentWillingness to learn product safety standards and testing methodsResponsibilitiesPerform electrical safety testing on consumer and industrial products.Set up and operate laboratory equipment including:OscilloscopesMultimetersPower suppliesHi-Pot (dielectric strength) testersLeakage current testersRead engineering drawings and electrical schematics.Evaluate products against UL, CSA, IEC, and ANSI safety standards.Record test data and prepare engineering reports.Assist senior engineers with certification projects.Communicate test results to project engineers and customers.Learn how to interpret product safety standards and apply them during testing.Preferred (but not required)Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certificationInternship or co-op experienceExposure to UL, IEC, CSA, or ANSI standardsBasic lab experience using electrical test equipment
