Communication Manager
Candidate must be Bilingual (English and French).
Position Overview:
We’re looking for a Communications Manager to join the North American Marketing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing communications strategies and executing plans to ensure that strategic initiatives are rolled out effectively and in a way that supports the company’s transformation plans.
The ideal candidate is strong writer and an expert in communications, with excellent judgment and a commitment to a results-oriented, people-oriented organization. You have a knack for getting things done quickly and motivating others. You should demonstrate ingenuity, strategic thinking, creativity and a strong ability to foster engagement. You must be able to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders across the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategic and innovative communications tactics, messages and campaigns that bring awareness to the company and further establish key employees as thought leaders
Participate in the drafting, translation and development of a variety of content including press releases, blogs, articles, emails, presentations and speeches and participate in meetings with leadership
Manage, create content, and measure success for company’s LinkedIn pages
Research and understand key business challenges, customer behavior, target audiences, and competitive activity that impacts the company
Build and maintain solid partnerships with assigned internal clients across the United States and Canada to better develop, coordinate, direct, and facilitate strategic communications designed to meet business goals
Assess the effectiveness of communication plans and drive continuous improvement
Develop an understanding of short- and long-term department goals and planned initiatives
Works with leadership to take the pulse of overall business activity to identify cross-marketing opportunities
Collaborate on a variety of special projects, as required
Stay up to date with the latest communications trends and propose new tools

Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position, with a focus on B2B communications
Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, marketing or a related field
Experience as a dynamic and creative communicator with project management skills and proven competencies in content development
Excellent writing skills
Bilingualism: excellent spoken and written English and French
Ability to think and communicate clearly, articulate a clear perspective on complex matters and write concisely and eloquently
Experience in communications for the media, the Internet or any other technological medium
Proven track record of managing social media accounts to maximize reach and effectiveness
A strategic approach to problem solving, with the ability to anticipate potential challenges to the company’s reputation
Ability to exercise excellent judgment, especially under tight deadlines

Working Hours:
Hours may vary and will require some evening work; frequently requires working 40-45 hours/week depending on business needs

Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment
Light lifting and carrying of supplies, files, etc.
Ability to speak to and hear customers and/or other employees via phone or in person
Body motor skills sufficient to enable incumbent to move from one office location to another

The position is exempt and the salary will be between $65,000.00 and $85,000.00 with an opportunity to a discretionary bonus.
The salary range is determined and based on internal equity, market data/ranges, applicant's skills, prior relevant experience and education.
