SPED/PAICE Substitute

This position is a substitute position with a charter school district in San Antonio. Ability to work in 78235. Role: SPED/PAICE SubstitutesDuties:- Follow lesson plans and ensure continuity of learning- Maintain a safe and positive classroom environment- Implement classroom management strategies to promote student engagement and behavior management- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of students- Collaborate with other staff members to support student success- Provide feedback to the regular classroom teacher regarding student progress and any issues that arise during your assignment.- Complete all training required by TEA.Experience:- Previous experience in childcare, early childhood education, tutoring, or related fields is preferred- Familiarity with pre k- elementary school students is strongly encouraged.- Experience working with students of various ages and abilities, including preschool and special education students, is a plus- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with studentsQualifications:- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; higher education in education or related field is a plus- Ability to pass a background check- Strong writing, reading and communication skills in English- Strong interpersonal skills.- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain discipline.- Flexibility and adaptability to work in different grade levels and subject areas.- Prior experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred.- Will have to pay for a non refundable background check (up to $50.00)- Physical Abilities Needed to Perform the Assignment- Ability to lift and carry 40 Lbs- Be able to remain active for up to 8 hours consecutively, and have the ability to kneel, crouch, or sit comfortably- Visually and audibly able to monitor the classrooms and students and navigate for emergencies.- Have the physical ability to perform CPR- To be able to move swiftly in emergency situations- Ability to work in 78235Benefits:- Choose the days and assignments that work best for you- Gain valuable experience working with diverse student populations- Opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives- Competitive pay rates
