Senior Director of Marketing

Principal Responsibilities:The PJCC is seeking a Senior Director of Marketing who will lead, execute, and optimize the PJCC's full range of marketing and communications initiatives with a strong focus on driving revenue and enrollment across all major program areas, with particular emphasis on preschool, summer camp, membership, and fundraising.The Senior Director of Marketing must be both a tactical executor and an operational leader who ensures marketing initiatives move efficiently from strategy to implementation, driving measurable outcomes. The successful candidate will refine the PJCC's value proposition and consistently articulate its impact in community and donor-facing messaging. Experience with applying AI-driven insights to improve marketing efficiency, messaging relevance, and conversion outcomes is highly valued. This leader will also contribute to the organization's sustainability, visibility, and reputation by delivering clear, compelling, and data-informed marketing that advances the PJCC's mission and revenue goals.Reporting directly to the CEO, the Senior Director of Marketing combines strategic insight with hands-on execution and is ideal for a team player who excels at rolling up their sleeves to make things happen.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and execute organization-wide marketing and communications efforts to drive revenue and enrollment across major program areasDevelop integrated marketing and communication strategies aligned with the PJCC's mission, strategic priorities, and revenue goals, using audience segmentation and market insights to tailor messaging across diverse business modelsLeverage AI and emerging marketing technologies to strengthen targeting, personalization, workflow efficiency, and campaign performancePrioritize initiatives using differential resource allocation (time, talent, and budget) to ensure the highest-impact projects receive focus and supportCollaborate across departments to identify and activate opportunities that increase visibility, engagement, and revenue for programs and servicesGuide and support the marketing team through clear priorities, coaching, and hands-on leadershipMonitor, analyze, and report on marketing performance to senior leadership, providing insights that inform strategic and operational decisionsContribute to organizational planning and strategy, ensuring marketing efforts advance mission, brand, and financial sustainabilitySalary Range: $150,000 - $175,000Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required10+ years of marketing experience; 4+ years in a supervisory roleProven ability to drive revenue through integrated marketing, audience segmentation, and multi-channel campaign executionExperience using AI and emerging marketing technologies to enhance targeting and efficiencyStrong strategic thinking, data-informed decision-making, and effective project/time management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate clear value propositions to diverse audiencesDemonstrated leadership in complex or multi-service organizations; nonprofit experience preferredSkilled at fostering collaboration, providing constructive feedback, and inspiring high performanceProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce or similar CRM experience a plusFamiliarity with faith-based community centers and/or interest in Jewish community buildingWillingness to work onsite five days a week, with occasional evenings/weekends as neededSalary:$150,000 - $165,000Agency Information:For more than 75 years, the Peninsula Jewish Community Center (PJCC) has worked to inspire a sense of community inSan Mateo County, home to over 37,000 Jewish residents.
