Event Manager – Meadowbrook Country Club (Richmond, VA)Location: Richmond, VAJob Type: Full-TimeAbout the RoleMeadowbrook Country Club is seeking an Event Manager to lead and grow our private events and member experiences. This role is equal parts sales, marketing, and execution, working with members, wedding planners, and outside organizations to create memorable events while driving revenue for the club.If you’re someone who enjoys building relationships, planning events, and bringing ideas to life, this is a great opportunity to take ownership of a key revenue center at a well-established private club.What You’ll DoEvent Sales & Client ExperiencePromote and sell Meadowbrook’s food and beverage services to members, wedding planners, and outside organizationsRespond to inquiries, give tours, and guide clients through the event planning processCoordinate all event details including food & beverage, room setup, and service needsPrepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and collect paymentsServe as the main point of contact from initial inquiry through event executionMarketing & PromotionCreate and update marketing materials, brochures, and event packagesPost event content and updates on social media to generate interestWrite and distribute the club’s monthly newsletter and event email campaignsDevelop promotions and ideas to increase event bookings and member engagementEvent Execution & OperationsCoordinate with the Executive Chef, bar team, and clubhouse staff to ensure successful eventsOversee event setup, execution, and breakdown to ensure a high-quality experienceAnticipate needs and resolve issues quickly during eventsBusiness & StrategyResearch competitor pricing and offerings to help refine Meadowbrook’s event strategyRecommend pricing, packages, and service improvementsWork with accounting to ensure accurate billing and timely paymentsHelp ensure events operate efficiently and profitablyWhat We’re Looking ForExperience in event planning, hospitality, catering, or sales (country club or wedding/event venue experience is a plus)Strong communication and relationship-building skillsOrganized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple events at onceComfortable with both sales and operational responsibilitiesAbility to work evenings, weekends, and during events as neededPreferred (But Not Required)Background in hospitality, marketing, or businessExperience with social media or email marketingFamiliarity with POS or event management systemsWhy Meadowbrook?Established private club with a strong member communityOpportunity to grow and shape the club’s event businessMix of creative, social, and business-focused workCompetitive compensation based on experienceHow to ApplyPlease send your resume to margaret@morrissett.com or online at or apply online at https://meadowbrookcountryclubva.com/employment-application.
