Integrity, Inspiration, Quality and Teamwork!Job DescriptionGeneral ResponsibilityThe Control Systems Technician holds responsibility for the system and will support the operations and maintenance team with technical knowledge as well as perform preventive checks for ensuring system effectiveness. The Technician will also survey, maintain, and control all the IT HW/SW and control equipment including High-Level controls, Field-Bus, Host connections and all network connections.Primary ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance tasksPerform scheduled & unscheduled maintenance including dismantling, repair and rebuilding of equipmentReadily identify unexpected systems operation issues and implement proper resolution proceduresResolve operational issues including but not limited to, Dieback, Grid lock and fallback proceduresClear and reset bag jams; resolve applicable issues quickly and efficientlyMust adhere to all safety and health requirementsServe as a resource and back-up for the Control Room OperatorClean and maintain surrounding work areasOther duties as assignedQualificationsEducation/Training3+ years of work experience in the operation and maintenance of BHS or automated material handling systems, for the IT and control levelHigh School Diploma or equivalentAbility to read and understand all electrical schematic diagramsMust be capable of troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, electrical, and control related issuesMust have thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical and controls test instrumentsFully conversant with and capable of maintaining all mechanical and electrical components in the BHS/ICSInstallation, inspection, assessment, maintenance, repair and/or refurbish of all parts, components and/or assemblies within the BHS/ICSAble to lift up to 50 pounds when requiredMust be able to obtain and maintain airport security clearanceEffective communicator; organized; detail-orientedMust have a positive and professional attitude and demeanorWork Environment:Fast-paced airport environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and variable temperatures.Shifts include working nights, weekends, and holidays.Frequent walking, bending, lifting (when needed), and standing throughout large airport facilities.Pay rate: $35.77 per hour, Fringe rate: $8.93 per hourWork schedule: Sunday - Tuesday 4:00am - 4:00pm and Wednesday 4:00am - 10:00amAdditional InformationBEUMER is an innovative company, where every employee is part of the "family".
