We're seeking a skilled layout designer to create high performance custom analog and mixed signal layout for integrated circuits, experienced with using design rules and an in expert problem-solving skills. The candidate we are looking for applies these skill sets so that layout conforms to engineering specifications seamlessly. In this role, you'll have the opportunities to lead projects, participate in PG Team activities, influence, mentorResponsibilitiesCompletes work through use of CAD layout softwareWorks closely with engineering to provide high quality layout in a timely mannerProficient in leading top level layout and coordinating, scheduling and advising project layout resources to resolve technical problems and meet project schedules.Ability to do block level, macro level and top level; floor planning, assembly and verification utilizing best analog layout practicesExperience working in multiple processesAbility to lead peers/teams on complex blocks and top levelCoordinates with design lead on methods, procedures and schedules of new assignments/projectsCommunicates regular status updatesTakes on mentoring/leadership roles to promote high quality work of entire teamEvaluates new tool/features and proactively shares knowledge with peersCreates presentations, training documents and project guidelines for layout and engineering peersRecommends/follows methodologies and operational policiesOther duties as required.Required Experience And SkillsA High School Diploma or equivalentA combination of 8+ years of layout experienceAn advanced degree may reduce the minimum experience requiredPreferred SkillsStrong understanding of basic electrical properties and principalsStrong familiarity with Cadence Virtuoso, Layout XL, Calibre and UnixRecognizes common analog structures, process matching techniques and layout dependent effectsStrong knowledge of Latchup prevention and ESD protection schemesStrong familiarity with P&R methods a plusProficient in Excel, Word, Power Point and OutlookOutstanding communication and verbal presentation skills.The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $114,400 - $220,200 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
