We Own It!Responsibilities:Implements the Quality Assurance/Control Program, including inspecting, testing and documenting in the quality recordCoordinates with Owner's representative and/or Architect of record for compliance, including Non Conformance Report (NCR), punch list items, and final resolution of such itemsInterfaces with Design team and City Code Inspectors for compliance inspectionsMonitors subcontractors work for compliance to contract documents and design specificationsInspects installation of material and equipment for quality control complianceWorks to resolve any Quality Control Issues, including non-conformances and punch list itemsManages the Quality RecordsResponsible for daily reports and inspection as required to ensure compliance and adherence to the contract documents, including site observation daily reports, Non Conformance Record (NCR), punch list items, etc.Responsible for field observation, inspection and reporting related to specific tasks such as pre-pour checklists, backfill checklists, excavation permits, etc.Administers and reviews all testing reports and follows-up with contractors on failing until closureAttends pre-bid and pre-construction, pre-activity and weekly QAQC meetings with subcontractors to discuss project requirements and explain Austin's expectations and requirementsMaintains technical and other pertinent documentsWalks the project to check the subcontractors' workPrepares the final walk-through checklists for contractor and subcontractor workRequirements:Bachelor or Associates degree strongly preferred in Engineering and or Construction management related coursesMinimum of 2-3 years or more experience in a commercial/aviation construction QA/QC roleExperience working on steel or structural concrete scopes on large construction projectsSuccessful completion of OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training required (may obtain within first year of employment)Ability to read and understand plans specifications, codes and contract requirementsAbility to perform in-process inspections and effectively communicate resultsFamiliar with electronic data collection and inspection methodsDemonstrates proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook)We offer excellent benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, and a matching 401K plan.
