Supplier Quality Engineer

This is a 24-month long term onsite contract in Tualatin, OR, 97062. Position is for Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week.A Supplier Quality Engineer will lead, and is personally accountable for, high profile project timelines and milestones. They will manage projects for process and product developments, quality initiatives, supplier selection, problem solving as well as designing and conducting independent experiments and tests to support HVM.Top 3 Skills:Technical problem solvingSupply chain managementCross functional project managementSkills:Graduate degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science or related field or B.S. with 4+ years of experience.Exposure to Surface Treatments / Precision Cleaning area in HVM (MEMS, semiconductor, or PCB) is preferred.Good foundation of Surface Treatment processes such as precision cleaning, contamination.Develop CIP on existing manufacturing processes to increase first pass yield and reduce contamination levels.Strong project management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsWorking knowledge of Statistics Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause-Corrective Action (RCCA), 8D & 5-Whys Problem solvingPrior experience with MS office tools (ppt, excel, project), statistical tools (JMP, Minitab etc.)Strong multi-tasking ability to manage a variety of projects with changing priority.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment. Good presentation skills.Self-motivated, attention to detail, ability to prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information, as well as write technical specifications and procedures.Demonstrated strong CFT management and presentation skills.Previous experience leading cross-functional projectsDuties:Lead cross-functional teams consisting of business development, engineering, manufacturing, processing engineering, field service, and suppliers during new product development launch through to production release.Be a leader for problem-solving skills: defining the problem, identifying objectives, assessing risk, developing approach, analyzing results and providing recommendations.Coordinate development activities with suppliers and product groupsImplement industry standard process control techniques such as six sigma techniques to manage and develop production efficiencies and quality.Develop CIP on existing manufacturing processes to increase first pass yield and reduce contamination levels.Be the chief advocate for your product across company organizations.Our Client is a Fortune 350 company that engages in the design, manufacturing, marketing, and service of semiconductor processing equipment.
