Whether you're certified or looking to grow your career in pharmacy, this is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately Process prescriptions, including data entry and insurance verification Measure, package, label, and organize medications Maintain proper storage and inventory of pharmaceuticals Provide excellent customer and patient service Handle medication orders, refills, and prior authorizations Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations Operate pharmacy systems and manage records using EMR/EHR software Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment Minimum RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED Active Pharmacy Technician Registration in New York (required if applicable) Minimum 6 months – 1 year experience preferred (retail or hospital setting) Basic knowledge of medications and pharmacy terminology Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and customer service skills Preferred QualificationsPTCB Certification (CPhT) or equivalent (highly preferred) Experience with pharmacy systems (e.g., Epic, CVS, Walgreens platforms) Insurance processing and billing knowledge Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
