Substitute Teacher

Job Overview We are seeking dedicated Substitute Teachers to join our team and support various classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher at the Career and Technical Education Center at Putnam/Northern Westchester BOCES Responsibilities - Implement lesson plans left by the regular teacher effectively - Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment - Manage student behavior and encourage engagement in learning activities - Provide support and assistance to students in understanding subject matter - Follow school policies and procedures to ensure a safe and productive learning environment Experience - Prior experience working with children or in educational settings is preferred - Knowledge of childhood development and behavior management techniques is beneficial - Familiarity with curriculum development and classroom management practices is advantageous - Experience working with students with a diverse background is a plus -Experience in a technical trade is a plus Job Types: Part-time, Per diem Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour Work Location: In person
