Financial Analyst - Investment Operations (Hybrid)

OverviewThis is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.We are currently seeking a highly analytical and detail oriented Financial Analyst to join our Investment Operations Back Office team. This position’s primary responsibility is to provide daily trade support for First Citizen’s Treasury and capital markets trading desks. The successful candidate with interact across all levels of the bank within Treasury, accounting, technology, risk, and tradingResponsibilitiesResponsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Business support: oversee all daily trading activity (including fixed income, debt, foreign exchange, and OTC derivatives) is correctly confirmed and settled Reconciliation: perform daily reconciliations of trade and positions against third parties; proactively handle and resolve any break resolutions. Provide operational support and servicing for the bank’s multibillion client derivative portfolio Build an in-depth understanding of various trading products, securities, and processes from both a financial and operational perspectiveContribute to various strategic initiatives to improve processes, workflows, and systemsQualificationsBachelor's Degree and 1 years of experience in Finance or Analytics OR High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in Finance or AnalyticsSkill(s): Maintains current knowledge of financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, and industry trends, Knowledge of financial forecasting, corporate finance, and information analysis, Familiarity with applicable Business Intelligence (BI) toolsPreferred Qualifications1-3 years of investment operations/support experience, preferably in banking, hedge fund, or asset management is a plusGeneral knowledge of and familiarity with financial instruments (i.e. fixed income, foreign exchange, derivatives) and it’s life cycleAbility to communicate professionally and effectivelyAbility to work both collaboratively and independentlyHighly self-motivated with emphasis on organizational skills and ability to multi-taskThe candidate must be personable and able to interact well with portfolio managers, traders, clients, and 3rd partieKnowledge of Blackrock Aladdin, Chatham, Clearwater, Finastra Fusion CMS, MarkitWire, and Bloomberg a plusProficient Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skillsFirst Citizens benefits programs are designed to meet our associates where they are in life.
