Lead Investigative Specialist
Job Title Investigative Specialist Team LeaderJob Description If selected for this position, you will serve as the leader of a team of Investigative Specialists within the Criminal Investigations Unit of the United States Attorney's Office. The team you will lead is responsible for directly supporting criminal investigations and prosecutions by locating persons of interest and gathering information and evidence through the application of investigative techniques such as open-source information gathering, database and records checks, and static and mobile surveillance. As team leader, you will guide and develop the team's capabilities to support varied and complex investigations.Typical Work Assignments Providing leadership for a team of investigative specialists, to include identifying, distributing, and balancing workload and tasks.Coordinating and providing quality assurance of investigative operations, monitoring case status, progress of assignments, and resolving challenges and issues as they arise.Developing and pursuing the team's strategies, goals, and objectives.Mentoring and guiding a team of investigative specialists in the development and application of appropriate methods and techniques to support criminal investigations and prosecutions.Developing team members' abilities and tradecraft related to investigative duties.Oversight and development of a team of investigative specialists.Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
