JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant General Manager is responsible for the administration and efficient daily operation of the branch office, including operations, service, and safety in accordance with Apria’s objectives. Individuals in this position will be rotated, within the branch, every 12 months to develop knowledge and skills in all functional areas of the business. The Assistant General Manager will communicate Apria values, strategies, and objectives, while assigning accountabilities, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. This position nurtures culture and engagement while overseeing strategies focused on improving the overall experience of employees and patients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the General Manager with developing, reviewing, updating, and implementing a successful business strategy.
Responsible for executing sales strategy and growth initiatives by personally building and maintaining relationships with key customers, helping sales team develop impactful territory plans, strategies, and leading the sales staff the achieve results
Responsible for managing branch operating expenses and revenues to meet established budgeted goals and projected growth revenues.
Responsible for overseeing and enforcing all warehouse, receiving, shipping, and inventory control policies.
Utilize technology and tools to optimize performance at the branch and assist in developing procedures to correct deficiencies.
Manage staffing levels, expenditures, asset equipment utilization and inventory levels to satisfy customer service levels and maximize profit margins.
Troubleshoot problems regarding operational procedures.
Ensures timely response to customer inquiries and resolution.
Manage all functional areas of the branch such as customer service, collections, clinical services, and distribution.
Assist in the development and preparation of the branch’s annual budget.
Monitor key performance indicators and is responsible for implementing corrective measures.
Comply with federal, state, local and Joint Commission requirements.
Performs other duties as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for hiring, coaching, developing, and performance management of subordinate staff.
Responsible for retention of branch personnel through on-boarding, coaching, mentoring, and development.
Ensures that all direct reports are maintaining acceptable performance levels
Conducts staff meetings regularly to review business performance and requirements
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
Four-year college degree or equivalent experience required
Large Retail, Distribution center, Call center experience a plus
At least five years of leadership experience required
