Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and experienced Contemporary Instructor to join our dynamic arts education team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in contemporary dance or movement, with the ability to inspire and engage students of diverse skill levels. Prior university experience is preferred, highlighting a commitment to professional development and academic excellence. Duties Develop and deliver engaging contemporary dance classes tailored to various skill levels, from beginner to advanced. Design curriculum that emphasizes technical skills, artistic expression, and improvisation techniques. Provide constructive feedback to students to support their artistic growth and confidence. Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment that encourages experimentation and personal expression. Collaborate with other instructors and staff to organize performances, workshops, and community outreach events. Maintain a safe and clean studio environment, ensuring all equipment and materials are properly used and stored. Stay current with contemporary dance trends and pedagogical methods to continually enhance instructional quality. Skills Proven experience in teaching or performing contemporary dance; university experience is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students. Excellent organizational skills to plan lessons, manage class schedules, and coordinate events. Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and skill levels. Passion for dance education and fostering artistic development in students. Creative mindset with the ability to design innovative lesson plans that challenge students while maintaining engagement. Professional demeanor with a commitment to ongoing personal growth within the arts community. Job Type: Part-time Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour Work Location: In person
