Commercial Lines Underwriter - Habitational

Description Come work for this specialty MGA company their niche is apartment buildings and commercial buildings in NY. Deal with A Rated carriers and variety of umbrella markets. Company was formed in 1987. C/L Underwriter will be responsible for account pipeline management. Handle new/renewal accounts, underwrite habitational risks, analyze exposures. Ensure accurate underwriting information, determine eligibility, maintain well-documented insurance files, address questions, resolve issues and servicing change requests. Provide and create solutions for a broad range of inquiries from brokers and team members. Obtain and understand market intel and trends. Develop relationships with both external and internal customers with the "customer experience" in mind. Work independently within deadlines while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with stakeholders. Requirements Minimum of 3 years Commercial Package/BOP underwriting experience. Strong understanding of habitational and real estate required. P&C Licensed required. (6 month prep time permitted). Must be detail oriented, comfortable with ever changing organization, travel maybe required.
