Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Minimum QualificationsMust have High school diploma or equivalent0-2 years of experience with ability to take direction and learn from experienceMust have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record to operate a company vehicleKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to work independently as well as in a teamAbility to analyze and solve problemsAbility to use and take care of hand tools and mechanical equipmentAbility and interest in performing work in the fieldDemonstrated willingness to learnPhysical ability to lift 75+lbs. and be comfortable working in an outdoor environment in all types of weatherAbility to maintain an effective working relationship with other employees and the general publicAbility to travel for extended periods of time (travel required is 50% to include overnight).Ability to be covered by company auto insurance planSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Essential FunctionsDig holes, work with hand tools, restore landscapingLay fiber innerduct and pull fiber through existing ductsOperate heavy equipment and excavation truckOperate pipe and cable locators and mark underground utilitiesMeasure and record installed quantities of fiberAssist on overall job including all tasks required to build and install a site per customer specificationsMaintain clean, orderly environment adhering to company policies and industry regulation/standard(s) (OSHA)Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be at site locations both on the ground and on building roof tops, sit, stand, walk, use both hands, and reach and raise items above the head, use fingers to feel and handle, talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel and crouch, lift weight or exert a force of 75+ or more pounds.Work EnvironmentMost work is performed externally, on-site, outdoors, with exposure to the elements of nature working under normal construction conditions. 25% of travel is required in support of this position. Approximately 5% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions.
