Direct Hire - DCN Instrumentation & control Engineer - ETO

Seeking a Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to support the design, development, and delivery of hyperscale data center modules across engineering, manufacturing, and commissioning phases.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and approve engineering drawings, P&IDs, and documentationDevelop deliverables: instrument lists, datasheets, control architecture, alarm schedules, control narrativesSupport EPC activities including RFQs, technical requisitions, hookups, and validationPerform sizing (control valves, relief valves, flow elements)Conduct vendor bid evaluations and technical reviewsPrepare BOMs and MTOsSupport manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and troubleshootingParticipate in HAZOPs, design reviews, and client meetingsProvide construction support (RFIs, site visits)RequirementsEducational:• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Controls Engineering from arecognized university.• Professional Engineering License (Strongly Preferred)Experience:• A minimum of 7 years' experience in controls and instrument design and engineering, witha focus on data center infrastructure.• Ability to produce drawings/sketches to illustrate design/ideas.• General knowledge and direct experience with the construction, operation, andmaintenance of data center or building electrical systems.• Experience with high-density data centers and hyperscale environments• Understands the purpose of control systems for data center facility modules.• Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations, including but not limited too API – American Petroleum Instituteo ASME – American Society of Mechanical Engineerso ANSI – American National Standards Instituteo IEC – International Electrotechnical Commissiono IBC – International Building Codeo ISA – International Society of Automationo OSHA – Occupational Safety and Health Administrationo NEC – National Electric Codeo NFPA – National Fire Protection Association• Experience working with computer-aided design (CAD) and building information modeling(BIM) software.• Fast track design/build projects and or multiple significant upgrade projects• Ability to review P&IDs and related control systems for complex process equipment.• Working knowledge of control valves, relief valves, and flow measurement devices.• Working knowledge of ISA guidelines and symbols for instrumentation.• Working knowledge of API and ANSI guidelines.• Ability to offer alternate instrument or valve type from perspectives of cost, space,schedule, operation, and maintenance.• Basic understanding of mechanical equipment and system design within data center drivingor affecting electrical scope.• Direct experience in negotiating with regulatory agencies regarding departures from codeand ultimately achieving design approval and permitting.Computer Skills:• Mastery knowledge and proficiency in:• Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)• PDF Editor (Adobe, Foxit, or other equivalent)• Operational knowledge in:• SAP (ERP Tool w/ Engineering Modules and Transactions)• Solid Works• Autodesk Revit• Autodesk BIM 360• Autodesk AutoCAD• Navisworks Manager / FreedomLanguage: Fluency, both written and verbal, in English.General:• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.• Performs well under pressure in high stress environments.• Extremely comfortable with task switching as priorities change.• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.• Ability to think creatively and identify opportunities to enhance the client experience.• Extreme work ethic and maintains high level of quality of work and due diligence.Communication Skills:• Express complex ideas effectively in both individual and group situations.• Organize and express ideas clearly in written documents.• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with across-functional teamNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.Nesco Resource provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
