We have a full-time need for a Make Ready Technician, in Virginia Beach, VA, who is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground utility lines, including telecommunications, cable, and fiber optics. This role involves trenching, burying cables, and ensuring that all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards. What You’ll Do Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure seamless operations and effective problem resolution. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Provide technical support and training to other team members or end-users as needed. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to continually improve skills and knowledge. What you’ll need High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field preferred. Proven experience as a technician or in a similar role, with hands-on experience Strong understanding of [specific equipment, systems, or technologies relevant to the job]. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, & schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Ability to lift and carry equipment or tools weighing up to 80 pounds. Capacity to work in various environmental conditions, including [e.g., confined spaces, elevated areas]. Availability to work flexible hours or on-call shifts if required.
