(Our office is also a nicotine-free facility) INSIDE SALES – WHAT IS IT?You will be responsible for managing and growing a territory through outbound calling, B2B prospecting, as well as calling on current accounts to build relationships, maintain inventory and grow sales. Additional focus on reactivating inactive customers and cold calling new business. A successful candidate will be able to effectively communicate with customers and internal team members, while possessing the ability to be resourceful, flexible, and resilient.Position SummaryThe Selling Inside District Sales Manager is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing personal territory and telesales team to achieve and exceed monthly and annual revenue and margin targets. This role combines hands-on sales leadership with strategic execution and cross-functional collaboration to drive business growth and deliver exceptional customer experiences.Position ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a team of Inside Sales Representatives to achieve revenue, margin, and productivity goalsManage and develop a personal book of business.Provide consistent coaching, performance feedback, and professional development to maximize individual and team resultsTrain team members on consultative selling techniques to identify customer needs and recommend tailored solutionsMotivate and inspire the team through effective leadership, recognition, and performance management strategiesEnsure adherence to key performance metrics, including sales quota attainment, call activity, response times, call quality, and system usageDrive product penetration and increase average order value by targeting buildable accounts with strategic selling effortsCollaborate with Marketing to execute aligned email and social media campaigns that drive demand and lead generationMaintain and grow a personal book of business; conduct outbound sales activities as neededWork closely with Field Sales Management and internal partners to resolve customer issues and ensure account alignmentPosition RequirmenetsBachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience2–5 years of experience in sales, customer service, or training; B2B outbound telesales experience preferredProven leadership experience with the ability to manage, coach, and develop high-performing teamsStrong business acumen with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make strategic decisionsDemonstrated proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and customer-focused demeanorEffective problem-solving and decision-making skills in fast-paced environmentsAbility to handle escalated customer concerns with empathy and professionalismThe CompanySince 1911, State Industrial Products has helped customers "Care for Work Environments"®.
