Position Type:Support Staff/Instructional AssistantDate Posted:9/8/2025Location:Sawmill Woods K-5 BehaviorDate Available:09/16/2025Closing Date:Instructional AssistantREPORTS TO: Building PrincipalFLSA CLASSIFICATION: Hourly Non-ExemptCOMPENSATION: Based on Classified Pay ModelWORK CALENDAR: 183 DaysSTANDARD HOURS: 7.25 Hours/DayPERF: CPCSC is a Non-PERF DistrictFMLA STATUS: Non-ExemptESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Serves part of the day as an instructional assistant for the K-5 Trauma and Behavior Program and the other part of the day as the Middle School SUCCESS Program virtual learning monitor.Contribute to a positive school family culture.Build a trusting and safe environment for all students.Establish positive relationships with students, staff, and their families.Participate in family/school partnership events to increase engagement.Provide effective student support, following the goals as written in the IEP, LEP, 504, and/or MTSS plan.Perform all duties as indicated by the supervising teachers and the administration.Supervise students at all times and maintain a safe and controlled environment. QUALIFICATIONS:The preferred candidate will be a licensed elementary teacher; at least 48 college credits; an associate's degree or willing to take and achieve a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment prior to beginning work.The preferred candidate will have experience working with elementary aged children.The preferred candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively.?
