Job Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Developer with strong experience in microservices architecture, AWS cloud technologies, and event-driven systems. This role involves building scalable backend services, contributing to frontend components, and actively participating in system design discussions. Candidates must be local to Plano, TX or Columbus, OH and available for onsite interview and work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot or Micronaut
- Build and integrate event-driven data pipelines using Kafka, Kinesis, SQS, or SNSDevelop scalable solutions leveraging AWS services such as DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, and AthenaWork with DynamoDB and relational databases (Oracle) for data modeling and querying
- Contribute to Angular-based frontend components for UI functionality
- Implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and manage CI/CD pipelines via Jenkins
- Write and maintain unit tests using JUnit (backend) and Jasmine (frontend)
- Collaborate with architects and stakeholders on system design and architecture decisions
- Support development of audit and compliance platforms
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java development (Java 17/21 preferred)
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot or Micronaut for microservices
- Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka, Kinesis, SQS/SNS)
- Solid experience with AWS services (DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, etc.)Experience with Angular (preferred) or React
- Proficiency in SQL (Oracle) and NoSQL (DynamoDB)
- Experience with Terraform and Jenkins
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Experience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Jasmine)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in authorization, entitlement systems, or security domains
- Exposure to audit/compliance platforms
- Strong problem-solving and system design skills
