A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: /n RN - ICU /n/n Job Details: /n • Work in an ICU setting with a varied work schedule/n• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care for ICU patients/n• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs/n• Review patient history and physical with patient/family within appropriate timeframes/n• Monitor diagnostics and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and caregivers/n• Formulate individualized plans of care including discharge planning based on assessment data/n• Implement care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities/n• Provide care based on physician orders and nursing plans in compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements/n• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising plans as needed/n• Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records/n• Participate in unit shared leadership and education of personnel, patients, students and families/n• Provide supervision and direction to licensed and non-licensed personnel/n• Must possess current valid RN license in state of practice or compact RN licensure/n• BLS certification required/n• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required/n• Experience in acute care setting within past 12 months as Registered Nurse in specialty area required/n• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred/n• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics for patient assistance/n• Requires adequate hearing, visual acuity, fine motor skills and eye-hand coordination /n/n Facility: /n This medical center provides comprehensive healthcare services with a focus on delivering excellent patient care through evidence-based nursing practice.
