Reporting to the Dining Room Manager or Director, Culinary Services, you'll help maintain a safe, clean, and professional kitchen and dining environment.What You'll DoSupport a positive customer service culture in the dining roomTransport dishes to the kitchen and maintain a clean dining areaClear, wash, and sanitize dishes, utensils, and tabletop itemsReturn dishes and utensils to appropriate storage areasEnsure safe work practices for yourself and coworkers; comply with Safety Committee StandardsComplete sanitation and cleanup tasks for dish room, kitchen, dining areas, steam tables, sinks, and drainsEmpty trash and follow daily cleaning schedulesAssist with serving residents in the dining room as neededMaintain flexibility with daily schedule, including weekends or evenings as neededDisplay friendliness and professionalism when interacting with residents, families, and visitorsProvide support during community tours and eventsFollow dress code and maintain a positive professional imageReport elder maltreatment or abuse as required to appropriate management and authoritiesPerform other duties as assigned by the Director, Culinary ServicesWhat We're Looking ForHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious experience in food service or customer service preferredObtain Food Handlers Permit as required by state regulationsMust be 18 years or olderMeet health requirements including health screening and TB clearancePass state-required fingerprinting and criminal background checkFirst Aid certification requiredCompassion for and desire to work with older adultsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to understand and follow instructions, plan and organize tasksSelf-motivated with strong customer service work ethicPleasant, professional, and personable with excellent organizational skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and balanceAbility to talk, hear, and use vision effectivelyOccasional weekend, evening, or night work and on-call as neededPossible exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens, latex, and other hazardsAbility to lift and assist as needed, up to 50 lbs occasionallyFrequent interaction with coworkers, residents, and vendorsJoin Milestone to be part of a dedicated culinary team, maintain a clean and safe dining environment, and contribute to a positive resident experience every day.Milestone is an equal opportunity employer.
