Ensure accurate filing and record keeping in compliance with Cathay Bank's Record Retention Policy.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSSort, store, and organize documents and records according to alphabetical, numerical, or other systems as directed by management.Add/reconcile new incoming documentation to file records or create new records as necessary.Maintains tracking log system for Loan Portfolio and records the location of the Legal Files both internally held and held by the offsite custodian, Iron Mountain.Ensure legal loan documents are always held in secure fireproof locations.Responsible for the preparation of appropriate forms and input of records into shipping boxes and documenting on spreadsheet.Maintain organization of files within file cabinets, including compressing and relocating files to provide additional filing space.Reviews Legal Document Files to ensure file completeness with Desk Procedures.Responsible for retrieving paid legal files/documentation, in response to special requests from supported Loan Servicing departments.Creates new labels for acquired loans and maintains record of file location.Assist in preparing & auditing paid off files for shipment to offsite facilities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Desktop Procedures.Assists with special projects or assignments for Auditors and Regulators.This job requires lifting boxes of loan files weighing up to 50 lbs. approximately 3 or more times per day; use an available dolly or cart when necessary.QUALIFICATIONSEducation: High school diploma required.Experience: 2+ years of experience in an office environment including data entry required.Skills/Ability: To navigate through the file room; bend, reach, and use small step stools on a regular basis. Be able to lift heavy items (minimum 50 pounds). Use an available dolly or cart when necessary. Attention to detail and good organizational skills. Self-motivated and able to work at a quick pace. PC proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.OTHER DETAILS$20.00 - $22.00 / hourPay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.Cathay Bank offers its full-time employees a competitive benefits package which is a significant part of their total compensation.
