We provide mission‑critical connectivity solutions to the global financial markets, enabling firms to access exchanges, market data, and counterparties with high availability and operational excellence.OverviewWe are seeking a Network Engineer to join our Financial Markets Network Engineering team. This role supports real‑time trading and market data connectivity across highly available global networks. The position provides strong exposure to routing, switching, multicast, automation, and packet‑level troubleshooting in production trading environments.ResponsibilitiesRESPONSIBILITIESSupport add/move/change (MAC) activities across production financial‑markets networksConfigure and troubleshoot Layer‑2 and Layer‑3 network services Assist with BGP, OSPF, and IS‑IS routing changes and troubleshootingSupport NAT configuration and fault isolation (static and dynamic NAT)Assist with IP multicast (IGMP, PIM) used for market data distributionPerform packet capture and traffic analysis (tcpdump, Wireshark or equivalent)Assist with Layer‑1 troubleshooting including physical connectivity and latency‑sensitive pathsFollow disciplined change, documentation, and operational processesWork with senior engineers on automation‑enabled configuration and validationFor this role, we anticipate paying $90,000K-$100,000K annually. Any compensation range provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market data. The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location. TNS offers a competitive benefit package including medical and dental coverage, life insurance, paid holidays and vacations, and a 401K plan with company match.NETDEVOPS & AUTOMATIONExposure to network‑as‑code practices using structured data (JSON/YAML)Assist with templated configuration and automation workflows (e.g., Jinja2, Ansible)Follow Git‑based version control and peer‑review workflows for network changesQualificationsREQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE3+ years of experience supporting global IP networksHands‑on experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Arista platformsStrong Layer‑2 knowledge (VLANs, trunking, STP, LACP)Strong Layer‑3 fundamentals (BGP basics, OSPF/IS‑IS concepts)NAT fundamentals and troubleshooting experienceMulticast fundamentals (IGMP, PIM)Packet capture and analysis skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsCERTIFICATIONSCCNA or CCNPNCIA or JNCIPTNS is an equal opportunity employer.
