Harvest Associate II
Summary
The primary function of this position is to work during our harvest season, completing duties such as general housekeeping tasks in the receiving area, sorting, and is certified as a forklift driver (gas forklift) and is trained on lifting devices, loads, unloads and any material or pallet within the plant. The harvest associate must be bilingual.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Must be available to work overtime as needed, with or without advance notice.
Load and unload trucks with bins of olives
Supply graders with incoming olives
Convey materials from storage to work areas
High stack pallets and bins
Maintain work area clean, neat, and orderly condition.
Meet all productivity and efficiency standards as outlined by management.
Follow all safety rules and regulations, including active participation in the prompt identification and communication of safety hazards.
Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices.
Sort olives taking out any inferior or defective olives, and foreign matter.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Immediately report all food safety and food quality problems to your supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications
Forklift certified is a requirement.
Bilingual, Spanish/English is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Forklift certification in an outdoor environment with constant utilization of the forks is a plus.
