Contract Specialist
Support critical payer partnerships-ensuring accurate contract execution, compliance, and operational success.
Work Style: Hybrid (Onsite training for first 2 months, then hybrid schedule)
Location: Gainesville, FL
FTE: Full-Time (1.0 FTE)
Supports the management and administration of managed care contracts across the health system. Assists in drafting, reviewing, and maintaining contract documentation to ensure compliance with legal requirements and organizational standards.
Collaborates with internal teams-including Managed Care, Legal, and Finance-to facilitate contract execution, track deliverables, and monitor vendor and payer performance. Supports negotiations, responds to contract-related inquiries, and helps resolve issues in a timely manner.
Maintains accurate contract records and assists with audit preparation to ensure effective oversight and compliance within managed care operations.

Collaborates with managed care, legal, and finance teams to facilitate contract execution
Monitors vendor and partner performance in alignment with contract terms
Tracks contract deliverables and supports negotiation activities
Addresses contract-related inquiries and helps resolve issues
Maintains accurate records and supports audit preparation
Ensures adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required
Advanced managed care experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis
Master's degree may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis
Experience
3+ years of experience supporting contract administration, preferably in managed care or healthcare settings
Familiarity with managed care contracts and healthcare regulatory requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management systems
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors
