Vice President, Corporate Development

Position OverviewOur client is a growing, well-capitalized wealth management / RIA platform seeking a Vice President of Corporate Development to play a key role in driving its inorganic growth strategy. This individual will work directly with the Head of Corporate Development and be instrumental in building and executing the firm's acquisition pipeline.Our client is looking for a highly motivated professional with deep experience in the RIA and wealth management sector, including a demonstrated track record of sourcing, evaluating, and executing transactions. This role offers significant visibility with senior leadership and the opportunity to meaningfully shape the firm's long-term growth trajectory.Key ResponsibilitiesDeal Sourcing & OriginationProactively source acquisition opportunities across registered investment advisors (RIAs), wealth managers, and adjacent financial services firmsBuild and maintain a robust pipeline through direct outreach, industry relationships, and partnerships with intermediariesDevelop and manage relationships with founders, advisors, and key stakeholders across the RIA ecosystemTransaction ExecutionLead end-to-end transaction execution, including financial modeling, valuation analysis, structuring, negotiation, and closingCoordinate diligence processes across internal teams (legal, compliance, finance, operations) and external advisorsPrepare investment committee materials, presentations, and transaction memorandaStrategic AnalysisEvaluate potential acquisitions against strategic priorities, including cultural fit, financial returns, and growth potentialConduct detailed market research, industry analysis, and competitive benchmarking within the wealth management spaceSupport refinement of acquisition strategy and development of target profilesInternal CollaborationWork closely with the Head of Corporate Development to prioritize opportunities and drive executionPartner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to support integration planning and value creation initiativesAssist with post-close tracking and performance evaluation of completed transactionsRelationship & Ecosystem DevelopmentBuild and maintain strong relationships with investment banks, brokers, consultants, and other intermediariesRepresent our client at industry conferences and networking events to enhance market presence and sourcing reachQualifications & Experience4-10 years of relevant experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or M&A advisoryDirect experience in the wealth management / RIA sector is required, including sourcing and executing acquisitionsProven ability to lead transactions from origination through closingStrong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilitiesDeep understanding of RIA economics, operational models, and key value driversExcellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skillsHigh degree of professionalism and executive presencePreferred AttributesEstablished network within the RIA and wealth management ecosystemExperience working with founder-led businesses and navigating founder transitionsAbility to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environmentStrong commercial judgment and strategic thinking If this role sounds interesting don't hesitate to apply with your resume!
