Overview
In this Program Manager role, you will oversee medical readiness, education, and training initiatives for DoD healthcare personnel at USAFSAM. You’ll coordinate program administration, data analysis, credentialing support, and continuing education to maintain clinical proficiency and readiness. You will collaborate with USAFSAM leadership and Air Force units to align programs with policy and mission objectives. This position offers impact across training, readiness, and policy updates in a critical military-healthcare context. You will drive improvements and coordinate cross-functional efforts to support aerospace medicine training at Wright-Patterson AFB.
ResponsibilitiesCoordinate educational and training support for USAFSAM staff and DoD medical personnelSupport aerospace medicine, operational medicine, and deployment training programsMaintain medical readiness and clinical competencyEnsure training programs meet academic standards and mission objectivesCollect, monitor, validate, and report training and readiness dataMaintain training rosters, readiness reports, and SharePoint tracking systemsCoordinate with leadership, field units, and external stakeholders to verify training informationDevelop program performance reports and executive-level briefingsAssist leadership in establishing program objectives and milestonesMonitor timelines and ensure deliverables align with strategic goals
Key requirementsBachelor’s degree or 10+ years of relevant experience in a medical/healthcare environmentExperience in medical education, training, or readiness programsKnowledge of CMRP, Training Affiliation Agreements, nursing competency programs, continuing education managementKnowledge of Air Force medical readiness policies and professional standardsExcellent organizational and communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePointExperience developing reports, presentations, and executive correspondenceAbility to complete USAFSAM and DoD orientation requirements and NDAPrevious instructional, LMS, or administrative leadership experience (preferred)strong written and verbal communicationinterpersonal professionalismcross-functional collaborationMicrosoft WordMicrosoft ExcelMicrosoft PowerPoint
