He or she must be knowledgeable in developmentally appropriate practices and have flexible hours that cover the center's needs anytime between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm. The Floater / Substitute is responsible for assisting teachers in supervising all children in their room, ensuring activities and curriculum are adhered to as required by the Director.This position is for our Ponte Vedra Location.Preschool Floater Responsibilities AreHelps and supervises children during all activitiesCounsels children when social, academic, or adjustment problems ariseEnsures that the appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment of the classroom are appropriately maintainedHelps children with meal times and clean-upHelps with all academy and classroom paperwork, such as daily notes, student accident reports, and attendance reportsAttends and participates in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings as requestedPerforms other duties as assignedWork together with other educators, discussing your progress and sharing ideasPreschool Floater Requirements AreMust be at least 18 years oldMust meet all requirements stipulated by the state for this positionMust be able to adapt to teaching in any of the classroomsPleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personalityHighly professional and dependableMust be able to interact appropriately with students of all ages and skill levels, as well as with parents, coworkers, and managementCertification in child CPR with a valid licence to practice professionMust be able to lift 50 pounds, sit on the floor and interact with childrenJob Types: Full-time, Part-timeBenefitsEmployee discountDentalVisionLife InsuranceHealth InsuranceReferral programWork Location: In person
