Hot Melt Adhesives Production Specialist

In this role, you’ll convert raw materials into high-quality hotmelt adhesives by following precise formulas and standardized work. You’ll also support packaging—right down to making the boxes—that gets our product out the door.Open RolesHotmelt department opportunities on 2nd and 3rd shift with shift differential pay.What You’ll DoInterpret batch tickets and formulas to determine materials, weights, and processing order.Accurately weigh ingredients, adjust to target weights, and document all measurements.Feed materials into vats, hoppers, and mixing pots in the correct sequence.Track and log time/temperature; complete full batch records (weight, product type, date, batch number).Run production equipment; stop and report issues immediately if a malfunction occurs.Move staged and finished materials to production or storage areas.Conduct in-process checks of materials, products, and containers at every step.Cross-train across the production line from initial staging to final packaging and box making.Maintain a clean work area, including machines, tools, and equipment; perform other duties as needed.What You BringSafety-first mindset; adheres to all safety procedures and PPE requirements.English literacy for reading batch tickets and documenting work (clear communication required).Ability to learn and use scan guns for inventory control and reporting.Capacity to repeatedly lift 55 lb bags and stay active on your feet for 8-hour shifts; willing to work any shift.Solid arithmetic skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).Comfort working in a hot, dusty, non-climate-controlled setting with PPE.Dependable with reliable transportation.Ongoing participation in required safety training.Motivation to advance and take initiative; commitment to Lean Manufacturing techniques.Willing to learn safe forklift operation.Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and climb stairs throughout the shift.High school diploma or GED.Rewards & BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay; biweekly payroll.Paid vacation and holidays.Uniforms and PPE provided.Insurance offerings.401(k) with company match.And more.Next StepsAll applicants must successfully pass an interview, background check, and drug & alcohol screenings.Equal Opportunity & Workplace PolicyIFS INDUSTRIESis an Equal Opportunity Employer.
