Collaboration with business stakeholders and mentoring junior developers will also be key components of this role, ensuring continuous growth and excellence within the engineering team.QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess a robust technical background, including extensive experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem, spanning both .NET Framework and modern .NET platforms. A deep understanding of object-oriented design principles, SOLID principles, and enterprise design patterns is essential. Proficiency in SQL Server, including database design, complex querying, stored procedures, and performance tuning, is required. Familiarity with Docker and containerization, along with experience orchestrating containers using Kubernetes or similar platforms, is highly desirable. The candidate should be comfortable working in Linux environments, troubleshooting, and operating applications within these systems. Experience with version control tools like Git, CI/CD pipelines, and production deployment processes is necessary. Additionally, knowledge of REST API development and consumption, distributed systems, and application integration patterns will be beneficial. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are critical for success in this role.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain enterprise applications utilizing C# and .NET technologies, including both legacy and modern frameworks. Take ownership of significant portions of the software development lifecycle, ensuring requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand workflows, clarify needs, and challenge requirements to mitigate risks and identify opportunities for enhancement. Optimize SQL Server data layers through schema design, complex query development, and performance tuning. Lead modernization efforts by migrating applications toward Linux-based container environments, containerizing applications with Docker, and contributing to orchestration strategies using Kubernetes or comparable tools. Build and integrate RESTful APIs, enabling seamless communication between internal systems and third-party services. Apply sound software design principles, architectural patterns, and coding standards to ensure maintainability and scalability. Identify technical debt and develop practical plans for its resolution. Troubleshoot and support applications in production environments, ensuring high availability and performance. Mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
