Your trust is earned, respected, and fully protected throughout this process.The OpportunityThe incoming Controller will oversee daily accounting operations, manage a dedicated administrative team, and ensure flawless OEM financial statement submissions. This role demands a technical expert who understands the nuances of large-store automotive accounting and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative in-office environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect daily accounting operations to ensure all transactions align with corporate policies and GAAP. Prepare, interpret, and submit monthly OEM financial statements.Maintain robust cash management systems. Keep the General Manager, Dealer Principal, and equity partners actively informed on accounting trends, cash positioning, and operational needs.Work hand-in-hand with sales managers, regional leadership, and the back-office team to identify revenue opportunities and drive expense reduction against budgets.Manage and mentor accounting and administrative staff, safeguarding dealership assets through strict internal financial reporting controls.Experience & Qualifications10+ years of proven experience as an Automotive Dealership Controller specifically within high-volume, new car OEM dealerships.Thorough, hands-on mastery of mainstream Dealer Management Systems—specifically CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or Dealertrack.Demonstrated success leading and managing accounting teams within large platform stores.Expert-level technical accounting knowledge unique to the automotive dealership industry.
