This consultant role will support Technical Administrative Application (TAA) Code Review projects and associated DSU activities. Working under the supervision of the Design Standards Unit Manager and Assistant Manager, the selected consultant will play a critical role in document control, scheduling coordination, records management, and review tracking for engineering and construction-related projects. The position requires a highly organized professional capable of managing confidential project documentation, coordinating multidisciplinary reviews, and maintaining accurate project records in a fast-paced engineering environment.This assignment may be performed on-site and/or remotely, as directed by the Assistant Manager.Key Responsibilities Managing and filing all incoming and existing construction documents, ensuring proper organization, version control, and security. Serving as the task leader for document control, overseeing the receipt, tracking, and distribution of all project documentation. Utilizing Trimble (e-Builder) to manage all incoming design documents, including but not limited to, confidential and privileged construction drawings. Logging and filing all construction documents and transferring finalized records to Document Control in accordance with established procedures. Scheduling and coordinating document reviews among appropriate technical disciplines. Maintaining a comprehensive database of all incoming and outgoing project documents and review activities. Preparing regular reports summarizing TAAs received, review status, and pending actions. Uploading review comments, memoranda, and other supporting materials to project management systems as required.Minimum QualificationsMinimum of five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in records management, document control, and/or scheduling within an architectural, engineering, or construction-related environment.Education Requirements Associate degree or higher in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Architecture, Business Administration, Project Management, Records Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Coursework or training related to document control, project scheduling, construction administration, or records management is highly desirable. Certifications or specialized training in project management systems, document control platforms, or scheduling software (such as Trimble e-Builder, SharePoint, or similar systems) are considered a plus.Preferred Qualifications Document Handling Expertise – Proven experience managing, filing, and securing engineering and confidential documentation. Task Leadership – Demonstrated experience serving as a task leader for document control, including coordinating workflows, maintaining accuracy, and ensuring timely completion of document management activities. Scheduling Coordination – Ability to efficiently schedule and track the review of construction documents across multiple technical disciplines. Communication Skills – Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Technical Proficiency – Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability and willingness to learn and use various in-house and external platforms such as SharePoint and Trimble (e-Builder). Independence and Initiative – Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
