TMHCFR is supported by Nishina Industries, which is located in Nagano, Japan. TMHCFR supplies hydraulic products to Toyota Material Handling North America, Inc.
Position - Associate Shifts - 1st: 6:30am - 3:00pm; 2nd: 3:00pm - 11:30pm. Overtime as required.
Position Overview: This position is responsible for the successful operation and production in all aspects of the Oil Control Valve Assembly operations for one shift. The Team Leader is responsible for leading team members, ensuring that the Assembly associates meet daily production targets. Safety, Quality and Customer Satisfaction must be a main priority. Essential Job Functions:
Work and lead in a safe manner.
Ability to lift 45-50 pounds.
Ability to work on your feet 8 hours per day.
Ability to fill in on any process in respective department to cover manpower shortages.
Perform quality checks at specified intervals using gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
Arrangements of sub-materials and small tools such as lubricant, wrenches, etc.
Conduct required quality checks.
Maintain proper fluid, oil and water levels.
Repair OCV's that do not pass inspection.
Job Duties:
Promote good quality using TPS principles – 5S, Kaizen, JIT, FIFO
Record vital process control statistics to ensure process efficiency.
Troubleshoot various machines within the department.
Respond to abnormal situations, troubleshoot causes and implement solutions.
Record production numbers and ensure daily targets are being met.
Coordinate with quality department and production manager regarding quality and production related issues.
Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment in order to minimize downtime.
Conduct performance evaluations for associates within the department.
Maintain accountability of performance of assigned associates.
Check all fixtures for wear including performance tester & Inline machine centers.
Administer coaching logs relating to behavior and performance issues.
Be capable of filling in for any process in the department to cover manpower shortages.
Any additional duties assigned.
Preferred Skills:
Prior demonstrated experience training and leading other associates.
Background operating and leading in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements:
Strong Mathematical skills.
Strong troubleshooting and decision-making abilities.
Experience with hand, pneumatic and power tools.
Ability to understand blueprints and use quality tools.
Ability to use a computer.
Excellent attendance.
Attention to detail in a fast past environment.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Some overtime may be required.
Must be able and willing to travel to Japan for two weeks for training at Nishina.
