Night Crew Supervisor

Position PurposeThe Night Crew Supervisor is responsible for overseeing overnight store operations, ensuring efficient stocking, proper merchandising, and a clean, organized sales floor by store opening. This role supports team leadership, productivity, and execution of company standards during non-business hours.Key ResponsibilitiesOvernight OperationsSupervise all night crew activities including stocking, facing, and conditioning the storeEnsure shelves are fully stocked, properly rotated, and ready for customers at openingCoordinate workload to maximize efficiency and meet overnight productivity goalsVerify completion of all assigned tasks prior to store openingLeadership & Team ManagementProvide direction, coaching, and support to night crew associatesAssist with training new hires on stocking standards, safety, and proceduresMonitor team performance and address productivity or attendance concernsAct as the lead on shift in the absence of store or department managementMerchandising & Store StandardsEnsure compliance with planograms, product placement, and promotional displaysMaintain clean, organized aisles, backrooms, and receiving areasEnsure accurate shelf tags, signage, and pricingInventory & Freight HandlingOversee unloading of deliveries and proper storage of productEnsure efficient breakdown and distribution of freight to the sales floorMonitor backstock organization and minimize overstock conditionsSafety & ComplianceEnforce all safety policies, including proper lifting, equipment use, and hazard preventionMaintain a safe work environment free of obstructions or unsafe conditionsFollow company policies and procedures at all timesQualificationsPrevious grocery or retail stocking experience preferredPrior leadership or supervisory experience is a plusStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced, overnight environmentStrong communication and problem-solving skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequentlyFrequent standing, walking, bending, and repetitive motionAbility to work overnight shifts and adjust to a non-traditional scheduleWork EnvironmentOvernight retail setting with limited customer interactionFast-paced, physically demanding environmentFlexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
