Recruitment and Family Development Specialist I

We are a non-profit organization which includes Diakon Child, Family, and Community Ministries and Diakon Affordable Housing.General Responsibilities:Responsible for recruiting, developing, and maintaining a robust network of resource families to meet the needs of children referred to or waiting for foster care or adoptive families.Performs a Public Relations function and assists in the design, development, and implementation of a marketing plan to increase public awareness of, and interest in Diakon Permanency Services.Works with Corporate Communications to develop, design and place advertisements in accordance with marketing plan; responds to interested family inquiries within 24 hours of initial inquiry.Deliver virtual and in-person presentations with the goal of inspiring and engaging audience to action including at events, information sessions, and resource family training. Education/Training: A Bachelor's Degree in human services normally required; Master's Degree preferred.
