BUILDING SERVICESCITY OF BARTLETTPUBLIC WORKSGENERAL MAINTENANCEBUILDING SERVICES - CUSTODIAL WORKERSALARY RANGE - $33,421.00 / $44,183.00BASED ON EXPERIENCEJob Functions:Custodial duties include but are not limited to, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, disinfecting surfaces, emptying trash receptacles, cleaning restrooms, and replenishing supplies.Disposal of trash both inside and outside the building is required throughout the day, demonstrating a commitment to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.Adhere to a weekly cleaning schedule, ensuring the standards are met.Performs minor building repair work, and makes recommendations for needed repairs.Collaborate seamlessly across the department, providing assistance wherever needed to ensure the successful fulfillment of the Public Works Departments mission and the efficiency of operations.Operates City of Bartlett vehicle on a daily basis, including but not limited to, special events, errands, and off site meetings.Minimum Qualifications:General knowledge of OSHA safety standards and health department standards.Basic tool and cleaning supply knowledge.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Ability to multitask and work with limited supervision.Capacity to work autonomously and a demonstrated aptitude for following directions.Must be physically able to perform active and strenuous work activity both inside and outside which will involve heavy lifting and various weather conditions.Areas of education, training and experience:Must be able to operate a Fork LiftAbility to read and understand chemical/cleaning application instructions.High school diploma or GED required.Special Requirements:Must be able to drive and hold a valid driver's license that must remain valid as condition of continued employment.Must successfully pass a background and driver's license check, and a physical exam including drug screen prior to employment.Ability to work nights and weekends is required.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or protected veteran status and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability.
