DescriptionJob DescriptionThe AI Expert – Robotics will lead the design, development, and integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities into robotic systems. This role combines deep expertise in AI/ML with hands-on robotics experience to build intelligent, autonomous, and adaptive robotic solutions for mission-critical applications.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop AI-driven algorithms for robotic perception, decision-making, planning, and controlIntegrate machine learning and artificial intelligence models into robotic platforms and embedded systemsDevelop and optimize computer vision, sensor fusion, and autonomy solutions for robotics applicationsCollaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams to ensure end-to-end system integrationTrain, evaluate, and deploy ML models in real-world robotic environmentsSupport simulation, testing, validation, and field deployment of AI-enabled robotic systemsAnalyze system performance and continuously improve autonomy, accuracy, and reliabilityDocument system architectures, models, and technical designsStay current with emerging AI, ML, and robotics technologies and best practicesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related field5+ years of experience in AI/ML and robotics developmentStrong programming experience in Python and/or C++Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)Experience working with robotic systems, sensors, and actuatorsSolid understanding of robotics fundamentals including kinematics, controls, and perceptionExperience deploying AI models to production or real-world environmentsPreferred QualificationsMaster’s degree or PhD in AI, Robotics, or a related disciplineExperience with ROS / ROS2 and robotic middlewareBackground in autonomous systems, mobile robots, or robotic armsExperience with computer vision, deep learning, or reinforcement learningFamiliarity with simulation environments (e.g., Gazebo, Isaac Sim)Experience supporting government, defense, or regulated programsAbility to obtain and maintain a security clearance if required by contractAbout the Organization Eccalon provides global solutions to the most challenging technological issues of the 21st-century, and our evolving portfolio spans five major markets: Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Aerospace & Defense, Material Sciences, Advance Manufacturing, Sports Science, Biotechnology, and Health & Life Sciences.Why Join Us?Eccalon's Executives foster a supportive work environment allowing our teams to thrive, and have a fierce dedication to innovation, security, and people.
